Conference programme announced!
The programme for the Social Safety in Higher Education and Science conference has been finalized! With contributions from, among others, Government Commissioner Mariëtte Hamer and breakout sessions on desirable behaviour, effective interventions, sexual safety, and socially safe leadership, it promises to be an inspiring day.

Grant scheme: first application round closed
The first application round for grants has now closed. The steering group is currently reviewing all submitted applications. Since the requested funding exceeds the available budget, a careful selection process will follow. In December, each applicant will receive a decision letter with an explanation of the outcome. More information about the next grant round will follow later.

Introducing: intern Arne Römgens
This summer, Arne Römgens joined the programme team as an intern. He gained experience with the topic of social safety as chair of ACLO (the student sports umbrella organisation in Groningen) and is currently in the final stage of his International Relations degree. Until the end of this year, he will support the steering group and actively contribute from a student perspective.
For questions regarding the conference, feel free to contact Arne: a.w.romgens@minocw.nl
Working visit to HAS Green Academy
In September, we visited HAS Green Academy in ’s-Hertogenbosch. HAS created two new videos for students and staff, focusing on social safety at the institution. They also developed a code of conduct, a leadership programme for lecturers and managers, and they organise dialogue sessions between students from different clusters.
In addition to an inspiring discussion on social safety, we were given a tour of the beautiful gardens and greenhouses of HAS (see photos)!
