Step-by-Step Guide for Grant Application
Step-by-Step Guide for Grant Application
Read the programme plan carefully so that you know the goals of the steering group and can connect them to your application. You can find the programme plan here.
Read the grant scheme carefully to read what is applicable to your organisation. The regulation can be found at: Staatscourant 2025, 7332 | Overheid.nl > Officiële bekendmakingen
Consider within your organisation what your goal(s) are to promote social safety, what projects you would like to apply for, and how you would like to set up the grant application process within your organisation.
Each organisation can organise this in its own way. For example, you can organise this at a central level, but you can also choose to give teams/departments/faculties the freedom to apply on their own.
Please note that you must be a legal entity to submit the grant application.
As an organisation, you can submit multiple applications each application period, either as the leading partner or participate in a collaborative effort.
Read carefully what documents you need to provide for the grant application and collect them from your organisation. See also this page for more explanation.
Want to submit the application with other organisations, as a collaborative effort? See e.g. article 4 paragraph 3 and article 9 paragraph 4 of the grant scheme which organisations can apply subsidy and join a collaboration.
Search for a possible partner and make clear agreements as to who will be the leading partner. The programme team can help you to connect to other organisations. Contact: Laurie Slegtenhorst (programmamanager@regiegroepsocialeveiligheid.nl).
If you want to hire an organisation (e.g. research institute, consultant agency) e.g. to give a training or presentation at your higher education institution or student organisation it cannot be a collaborative partner, because this entity does not fall within the definition of an organisation in the grant scheme.
In the activity plan (part 4) of the assessment form you can give a description of the activities this entity will carry out and attach a quote or cost estimate from this particular organisation.
Look carefully in the grant scheme to see what forms you need to submit for a partnership.
The first 3 aspects (ambition, impact, anchoring) of the assessment framework deal with your overarching vision of social safety. The 4th part is the activity plan in which you give a description of (different) activity(ies) + corresponding budget(s). Your grant application can therefore consist of 1 activity, but also of several activities that you list in part 4.
During the first round of applications from June 16 to August 3, the portal will be open to apply for grants through an online form. During the application periods there will be a link to the portal on the DUS-I website.
